LJSC Ends Endorsement Deal With Ryan Lochte*
*If we had one, we probably would have, but this just might be a bigger issue of cultural schadenfreude and watching our heroes suffer, but hey, this isn’t really the space for that, so since you’re here due to our shameless and now-outdated-by-a-few-days headline, do you want to learn some great swimming exercises for the gym? Yes? Read on!
Swimming has been at every Summer Olympics since 1896. The United States holds 553 medals, which is 365 MORE than the second-place holder, Australia. Since the inspiration is high and we have a partnership with Coggan Family Aquatic Center (check the Front Desk for details), now is the time to start training so you’re ready for the 2020 Olympics, when you’re in the pool, relaxing, and cheering on the US from your iPhone.
As with the Track and Field, Judo and Soccer posts, we’ll focus on exercises you can do at La Jolla Sports Club to help you reach your swimming goals. If you’re looking for swimming routines, here a few to get you started: Breaking Muscle, About.com and the aptly-named 100SwimmingWorkouts.
Note: If you have any questions, grab one of our La Jolla Sports Club Personal Trainers! Click on the photos below for a larger image.
What are some of your favorite swimming exercises for the gym? Have you had a chance to try out the Coggan Aquatic Center? Thoughts? Leave a comment below!
That’s it for our 2016 Olympic coverage, have a great rest of the week / end and see you next post!
