La Jolla Sports Club‘s newest Personal Trainer and all-around nice guy, Greg Russo, hails from Connecticut with an impressive background in Sports Massage, Swedish Massage and Soft-stretch Release Technique (SRT). What is SRT, you ask (we did, too, so we had Greg fill us in)? Soft-stretch Release Technique is a gentle and non-aggressive form of manual bodywork that combines muscle activation and relaxation techniques. Sounds nice, right?
Greg has created a massage program that blends all three forms of bodywork for a progressive way to reduce chronic pain, improve range of motion, relieve nagging tightness, enhance performance and aid in recovery.
Greg’s method is unique to each individual and begins with a brief assessment that helps guide your bodywork program. If all of this sounds overwhelming, it’s the exact opposite. This approach to massage has already helped many La Jolla Sports Club members improve exercises (hello, squats and deadlifts); posture; and that sometimes tricky activity of just plain ol’ getting through the day.
