Hungry for another La Jolla Sports Club Personal-Trainer-inspired workout that will help offset some of those Halloween treats???
‘But this is a candy apple!’ ‘I totally burned off, like, a bunch of calories walking through Bird Rock trick or treating!’ ‘Mwahgrwagh awwgh fshhhh grawwthy (incomprehensible mumbling due to Charleston Chew chewing [do they even make those anymore?])!’
Anyway, we get it, this is a tough time of year when our inner-child taps us on the inner-shoulder and sweetly convinces us that maybe we should have another bite of that snack / treat / once-a-year cupcake.
Welp, we here at LJSC are here to help. In case you missed last week’s post, we featured Kevin Root with a scarily hard lung-burning workout and we’re back again with another scary*, La Jolla Sports Club Personal Trainer-inspired workout, courtesy of our very own Neil Minella. Neil is one of our leading trainers on TRX and Olympic Weightlifting, so if you have any questions on these moves, feel free to grab him and ask away.
A couple of notes from Neil before getting started:
- See how many circuits you can get through in an hour
- Each of these is a set of reps (10-12), except for the L-sit, which you’re aiming for time
- All of these exercises REQUIRE an engaged core—don’t hurt yourself by being soft
- GOOD FORM, OR NO FORM
